Representative Chris King Has list of Things To Do To Live Up To His Campaign Promises

In consideration of Mr. Kings performance over the last year and half, the Farry for State Representative Campaign put together a list of things to do to if Chris King really wants to live up to his promises.

On Helping 142nd District Families…
Pass Property Tax Relief. Our families deserve some sort of property tax relief. Work with Republicans and Democrats to pass some sort of meaningful property tax relief to decrease their burden.

Do Something To Help Seniors and Working Families Pay their Heating Bills.
Pass meaningful legislation to help seniors and working families as the seasons change to guarantee that they are able to afford to pay for to heat their homes.

Stand Against Higher Taxes.
Refuse to support the Governor's universal health care plan that would lead to higher taxes for job creators. This would lead to fewer people with health care, not more.

On Being a Reformer…

Publicly Call On and Actively Work For Bill Deweese's Ouster as Leader.
Chris King likes to say he is a reformer, but the truth is he has refused to join his colleagues in calling for the Democratic Leader Bill Deweese, who has been implicated in Bonusgate and has had senior staff indicted, to step down. Expressing your thoughts behind closed doors without acting on it are not enough.

Repay Your Health Care Costs.
Immediately repay your health care costs for the time that you left the payroll as a political employee. King continued to received taxpayer paid health care benefits while he campaigned for Democrats for office as a reformer.

Explain Your Role In Bonusgate.
Representative LaGrotta called you a ghost employee that was controlled by indicted former Representative Mike Veon. Explain your role as an employee under the supervision of LaGrotta and why he claimed you did no work for him. Also, explain why you thought it was appropriate to take a taxpayer-funded bonus for running for office.

Stop Campaigning With PSAs and Taxpayer Funds.
Stop immediately the use of taxpayer funded PSAs, mail, and robocalls from your legislative office and live up to your campaign promise to ban these in election years. More importantly pay back to the taxpayers the amount it cost to run the PSA's that you promised when you ran not to use.

Pass Real Reforms.
The Republican controlled Senate passed numerous bills to reform state government that your leadership is sitting on. Pass those bills.
